MORNINGWOOD SPECIAL - FLY TYING

I think Charlie Craven nailed this imitation of an adult Stonefly, the Morningwood Special. This fly is one of many solid evidences of his superior talents in fly design.
In my opinion this fly looks harder to tie than it really is, as I go through this demonstration I will share what I feel are the most difficult parts of the fly and how I deal with them.
My name is Lance and today I am tying a Morningwood Special.
The Morningwood Special is a blast to tie and really is not as hard to tie is it might seem.
With a bit of practice anyone can tie it.
Charlie Craven has a smaller olive version of this fly he calls the skwala and a larger orange version that imitates a Salmon Fly.
But don’t let that limit the colors it can be tied in.
Go out and get the materials to tie this awesome pattern. Remember to have patience and to practice, practice, practice.
This fly lands many fish at many different locations. If you are looking for something different for your fly box this is your fly.
