• SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK •

We often hear colleagues say that they can no longer say or do anything without it constituting sexual harassment. But is this really the case? Here's a closer look.

… Some worrying figures:
_ Nearly 1 in 3 women (32%) report having been victims of some form of sexual harassment during their career.
_ In 70% of cases, neither the employer nor management were informed of the situation.
_ Barely 5% of sexual harassment cases result in legal proceedings.

According to Article L1153-1 of the French Labor Code, no employee shall be subjected to:
1° Sexual harassment, consisting of repeated sexually or sexist remarks or behaviors that either undermine their dignity due to their degrading or humiliating nature, or create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive situation for them (...)
2° Sexual harassment, consisting of any form of serious pressure, even if not repeated, exerted with the real or apparent aim of obtaining an act of a sexual nature, whether this is for the benefit of the perpetrator or a third party.
