Meet Tom Manuel; a jazz musician, an educator and the President and Curator of the Jazz Loft.
Surrounded by music as a child, Tom started playing gigs with a jazz band in ninth grade before going on to study education and music at Boston University.
After graduating he moved back to his native Long Island, New York, and forged close relationships with "statesmen" of jazz that called Long Island home.
This not only influenced his style of music but helped Manuel develop a unique personality and respect for the arts; all the while amassing a collection of memorabilia from the musicians he called friends.
Thus the Jazz Loft became an inevitable reality for the passionate and creative mind of Tom Manuel where he performs live with musicians from beyond the quiet historic area of Stony Brook NY.
In this refurbished 7000 square foot building, nearing centuries old, the music that was once "today's greatest hits" roars to life with smiles from stage and crowd.
Truly a major effort in creativity is the story of Tom Manuel.
