Rediscovering Freshness: A dive into an artist's leap
Hear the story of how artist Lisa Petker Mintz experimented with aspirational materials and life models to discover a new joy in the simplicity of a fresh surface.
Her previous work features collage elements and layers of paint (textured and smooth) reflective of her printmaking background giving her the skills to experiment with higher quality collage elements and work with a life model.
“Painting was very stressful. Finishing a painting was exhausting and the grant allowed me to jump to, to leap, take a leap of faith into unexplored territory.”
