--A little pig, a horse, a donkey and a 1 minute long OAHS --

When working on handstand endurance, or any handstand skill for that matter, it is important to continuously push the limits (within limits of course) in a way that fits the current level of ones practice. Whether it is to reach a 1 minute hold on two hands or on one hand the concept is the same. Continuously strive to improve technique and control over the skill and at the same time slowly push your limits.

The challenge this time was to hold a one minute OAHS on each arm, consecutively (a total of 2min upside down). I held a one minute on my R arm before, but never on the L arm, and not in one take so it was time to push the envelope. Our vacation in southern France felt like a good time to go for it, and I chose one of the early morning practices to give it a try and get it on film (because if it’s not then did it really happen?).

Besides doing the THING, I realized that another challenge would be to present a two minute long video of the same exact and static skill without the viewers losing interest. Hopefully my little helpers, the high wall, and the epic music were able to do the work.

Enjoy,

Yuval
