Polar alignment of Telescopes on an Equatorial Mounting
We show you how to polar align your telescope mount using SharpCap Pro that uses a camera and plate solving to measure the errors.
The alignment is carried out on a PEM mounting and Adjuster base with live action shots during the day so you can see what is needed. The night time view shows the programme in action.
There are many hints for achieving good polar alignment and a discussion of what to avoid when doing this process. We hope you will be able to take this and translate it to your equipment to achieve good results.
