This is my first "proper" video for YouTube and in it I explain how all computers are basically made of just two types of microchip - CPU and memory - each of which is surprisingly easy to understand.

I designed and built an educational kit called Retcon to help people learn more about computers by building one and in this series of videos I'll use it to walk viewers through how a simple computer works. At some point soon I'll also be releasing the kits to the public to give you the chance to learn this stuff by getting your hands dirty.

If you like the video, please help support me by liking, subscribing and sharing and please let me know in the comments below if you have any questions or if you would like to request any particular subjects for followup videos!

Retcon crowdfunding will hopefully open at some point during 2024.
