Security Camera (CCTV) Style Video in After Effects
Footage taken with a cannon Legria in my sisters spare room from on top of the wardrobe.
I did this:
by putting the 'night vision' effect on in after effects, but adjusting the settings to TV-old animation preset, noise down a little, and then i turned the saturations down o about 5, as none of these videos are that green anymore (i found from watching some online anyway)
Then applied a 'bulge' effect as they tend to be through quite rounded lenses. I should have really had it in a more square comp to sick wit that but everything else I've done has been in this format soo..
i adjusted that until it looked right. I made the original video file a 3d layer and added an ambient light to lighten the scene up a bit (as after the first second, it is pitch black in the room cos i turn the light off) i then added a time code and a little 'AM_CAM_1' text layer (Alex Matthews camera 1!) then using time remapping i sped it, and the time code, up, down from 1 minutes to 30 seconds i think.
