Manufacturing Happy Hour LIVE in St. Louis
St. Louis, you continue to amaze me! Last week's Manufacturing Happy Hour was a testament to the incredible ecosystem we're building together.
Before sharing my thoughts, I wanted to give space for attendees to express their experiences. After a weekend of reading your posts and messages about the event's impact on our region, I can confidently say... WE 👏🏽 DID 👏🏽 OUR 👏🏽 THING!
In that room, we had the entire spectrum of our manufacturing community. Community members connected with CEOs, educators exchanged ideas with frontline machinists and engineers, and representatives from Missouri's manufacturing giants engaged in deep discussions with passionate owners of mom-and-pop shops. Organizations like Greater St. Louis, Inc. and Missouri Association of Manufacturers came out in full support of uplifting manufacturing in the region, and we had manufacturers from both Illinois and Missouri in attendance!
We witnessed tool and die makers sharing insights with HR professionals, and community leaders brainstorming with engineers and automation experts from SME and International Society of Automation (ISA) chapters . This beautiful tapestry of experiences, perspectives, and expertise is what makes our region's manufacturing scene so vibrant and promising.
The diversity of thought, experience, needs, and aspirations in that room was astounding. From the shop floor to the C-suite, from Illinois to Missouri, we had every facet of our industry represented. This is what the New American Manufacturing Renaissance looks like – a united front of thinkers, doers, creatives, and innovators all working towards a common goal.
This gathering wasn't just about networking; it was about weaving together the very fabric of our manufacturing future. The conversations that took place and the connections made are the seeds of innovation that will drive our industry forward.
By bringing together such a diverse group, we're gaining clarity and insight into the real needs and opportunities in American manufacturing. This understanding is crucial as we work to ensure our industry continues to provide access to the middle class and beyond for all Americans.
Last week proved that when we come together, share our knowledge, and combine our strengths, we create something greater than the sum of its parts. This is how we build a stronger, more inclusive, and more prosperous manufacturing sector for our region and our nation.
