Have you ever been trash talked? Or have you ever had an opponent 'play games with you'? Trash talk and gamesmanship are a feature of competitive sport, there's no getting away from them - many athletes use trash talk to try and gain an advantage. But you're in complete control of how you think about and how you respond to trash talk - you can let it get to you and distract you OR you can take the initiative and prepare yourself so that you stay focussed when it matters!
