Driver, when a cyclist takes the middle of the lane, or asks you to hang back for a bit, we are not doing this to hold you up. We are doing this in an attempt to protect ourselves. It wouldn't have taken you long to ease off a bit. Please drive more considerately please, this is how cyclists get injured.
