Heartwarming family comedy. The film, titled Pawn, begins in 1993 in Incheon, South Korea. The film begins when two debt collectors, named Doo-seok and Jong-bae, collect a debt from Myung-ja, a mother of one. Economic difficulties prevent Myung-ja from paying debts, interest, or providing guarantees to Doo-seok. That makes Doo-seok take his 9-year-old son and use it as collateral. Seung-Yi became a mortgage because of his mother's debt. Even though they are both debt collectors, their nature is kind.
