Scarlatti Sonata in d minor, K 9
A harpsichord Sonata by Domenico Scarlatti, performed by Trevor Stephenson on 4 March 2018. The performance took place a part of a concert in the series Early Music at the Byron Colby Barn in Grayslake IL. The music begins at 6:20 in the video, since it is preceded by extended notes on the biography of the composer.
The harpsichord was built in 2010 by Norman Sheppard of Madison Wisconsin. It is modeled on an instrument built around 1720 by Michael Mietke in Berlin.
