An angular slab-sided bow - John D Leitch
This vessel is approaching 60 years old soon and she is still a much loved sight on and around the Great Lakes.
I finally managed to meet up with the vessel. I tried the day before and it arrived well past it's scheduled arrival.
So the next morning I went down there again and I was able to get the drone up and over the John D. Leitch.
Then on the following day, I rode over to Port Colborne on the Sea Doo and I got some close up shots of her peculiar angular slab sided bow.

The John D. Leitch is a self-discharging bulk carrier that was built in St. Catharines, Ontario, in 1967. Specifically, it was built to accommodate the Upper Lake Group’s first contract to carry coal for Ontario Hydro.
The ship is approximately 730 feet long, has a beam of 77 feet and 11 inches, a depth of 45 feet, a capacity of 34,127 tons and has an engine power of 7,500 bhp diesel. It sails under the flag of Canada.
