I think when we get older we tend to forget those little things that as a kid, we desired greatly or random things that bugged us for no good reason.
a few days ago I made a tweet about a SM64DS minigame, how it hits so different late at night with nobody monitoring you making sure you're asleep, and my best friend later on asked if anybody has stopped to think that we don't have to hide our gameboy or our ds under the sheets anymore, and how we can just play late at night without anybody knowing, or caring at that, and how damn awesome it is.
I feel this way about a lot of random stuff. lately i've been buying bullshit I saw on TV in the late 2000s/2010s like Fushigi and those stupid cups that you put ice and juice in and it makes a goopy mess you could've just made with a blender and shaved ice, or scented Pillow Pets, a lot of stuff I happened to remember, because I couldn't have it as a kid and I wanted it sooo badly.
giving into that kid in my soul that just wanted to do shit because it sounded cool sometimes is refreshing, makes me look at how far i've come along.
