Hilary Clinton - Former First Lady (USA)
Hilary Clinton is an American politician and former First Lady who served as the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. She was the first woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party and is the first woman to have been a major party's nominee for President of the United States. Clinton was born in Chicago in 1947, and went on to attend Wellesley College and Yale Law School. She started her career as a lawyer and later went on to become the first female partner at Rose Law Firm. In 1992, Clinton was the first wife of a president to be elected to public office, winning the U.S. Senate seat in New York. She became Secretary of State in 2009, and her tenure was marked by a number of accomplishments including the negotiation of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and the establishment of diplomatic relations with Burma. Following her tenure, Clinton unsuccessfully ran for president in the 2016 election. She has since become an advocate for women's rights and social justice, and a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.
