Today, my daughter Vera and I came to the High-Performance Center (CAR) in Madrid for an awe-inspiring experience: we were invited to a training session prior to the Spanish Sambo Championship, a crucial meeting where the best techniques are reviewed and the real difference-makers are fine-tuned as the competition approaches.
Here, training isn't just about "winning medals." It's about growing as a martial artist: attention to detail, mental focus, rhythm, self-control… and that mindset that separates the competitor from the master.
In this video, you'll see:
What a federated-level training session is like in a high-performance environment
What kind of technical review is prioritized before a championship
The importance of the process: mindset, discipline, and consistency
Why Sambo is experiencing such an exciting boom
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to Yeray Jiménez for making this possible and for opening the door to this training session for us. This is also "The Path of the Tatami": learning, respecting, and sharing the journey with people who contribute positively.
