A classroom clip on music's evolutionary and deep cultural origins.
The idea here is that what we call 'music making' is actually part of a larger set of relational activities that get our bodies in sync, that help us coordinate activity and co-regulate our nervous systems.
In that lens, it's a shame that music training can be seen as separate from other embodied practices.
Shouldn't every teacher/practitioner of yoga, meditation, bodywork, somatic breathwork etc have some grounding in how to prime minds musically?
