19. Operational Amplifier Non-idealities
Ideal operational amplifier properties are reviewed. Output saturation is explained (called clipping). This limitation is shown on oscilloscope screenshots. The effect of finite gain is analyzed. Finite input resistance is discussed. Finite output resistance is discussed. The basic use of the offset null pins is briefly discussed. Slew-rate limiting is briefly analyzed. This effect is also shown on oscilloscope screenshots.
