International Day of Human Space Flight
April 12th in Houston has special significance. The date recognizes the contributions of cosmonaut Yuri A. Gagarin and astronaut John Glenn, the first Space explorers to orbit the Earth, as well as all others who have ventured to space since April 12, 1961.
