6th Grade Scholars Calculating the Volume of Food Boxes
Sixth grade scholars were learning how to calculate #SurfaceArea of various #RectangularPrisms. They rotated boxes and cross-referenced their solutions with each other. Having students to do their own measurements reinforced their ruler reading skills.
Students in 5th grade took the same boxes and measured them to calculate #Volume. The boxes were saved and used to explore #nets a few days later.
Yes, students were encouraged to work together, but they kept working independently. 🤷🏾.
