Bixler 2 FPV Setup and 4.2k Flight
Some of you guys have been asking me about the details of my setup so I put this together. Theres also a quick video of a recent 4.2k flight. This setup can do 5km and further with larger capacity battery. My personal best with this is 5.3km (UPDATE: Now 6.9Mi / 11.1Km. Check it out: • 2.4ghz FrSky, 400mw 5.8ghz - 6.9 Mi / 11.1... ).
FPV stuff:
Turnigy 9x with FrSky DJT Module/8dbi patch and D8R II Plus Rx/dipole antennas installed in vertical and horizontal stabilizer.
Boscam 500mw 5.8ghz Video Tx with DIY cloverleaf antenna.
Boscam RC305 Video Rx with DIY 5 turn helical antenna.
Bixler 2 with D2826-10 1400kv and 7x5 APC.
7 inch LCD with DIY sun shade.
HK Blue Series 30a ESC.
Turnigy 2200mah 3s.
Gopro silver.
Video Tx is powered by flight battery through the balance plug.
