In this episode of Projects in the Barn, I’ve got a spare half hour to make some progress on the Jaguar XKR front brakes. But as every car restorer knows, a "simple" job can quickly turn into a battle.
I’m struggling to remove the front brake backing plates due to some incredibly rusty T27 Torx bolts. After failing with standard tools, I have to resort to a classic mechanic's trick: welding a nut to the bolt head to get some purchase and introduce heat.
