Description
The plot of the ballet is based on a rather long history that came to us from the 16th century. Jeanne Marie Leprince de Beaumont modernized it, and since the 18th century it has become a part of the collective memory, one of the world's bestsellers.
The Tale of Beauty and the Beast became especially popular in the twentieth century after the film version of W. Disney and feature films by other famous directors. In the performance Vostok OPERA, a magical and instructive love story is inspired by the beautiful music of great composers of different eras and styles - masters of austere and graceful baroque, sensual romanticism and rebellious XX century.
In the decorated performances, along with traditional decorations, modern multimedia technologies and elements of shadow theater are used. The ballet uses elements of both classical and modern choreography.
The fairy tale itself is commented on by a voiceover, which is a prerequisite for the script.
And, although the language of the dance speaks for itself, the narrator can address the audience in any language, which makes the ballet international, close to audiences of all countries.
