DTS Play-Fi is a standard for sending TV audio to your home's speakers without wires
DTS Play-Fi is a multiroom audio standard with which we can send music to all rooms in the house that have a compatible speaker or sound equipment, with the highest quality, without losses and using a WiFi network in the background. Until now we could choose which speaker to play the content, if we wanted the same music in all equally or a different theme in each room of the house. However, from the next months we can also use DTS Play-Fi to improve the sound of our televisions by sending it wirelessly to external speakers.
Those responsible for the standard have announced the launch of what they call Whole-Home TV Audio Streaming that basically allows DTS Play-Fi to send an audio stream over WiFi from any source connected, for example, a television to any other speaker or sound device compatible, whatever the brand it may be. The update of the DTS Play-Fi protocol will reach the different devices starting this month.
