Taking X-rays with rock?
In today's video, I turned a rock known as scheelite into a working X-ray intensifying screen! The specific material I made was cadmium tungstate which is an old scintillator used in some of the first X-ray intensifying screens made!
Warning performing the actions seen in this video can be dangerous. X-rays cause cancer and radiation burns and cadmium is a very toxic heavy metal!
