The Long Dark Tournament "The Great Bear Connoisseur" 1st Place Winning Time 3D 3H 21M
The Great Bear Connoisseur was a Long Dark tournament that ran from October to November 2023. The setup is to start a custom run with interloper settings, but we start in Broken Railroad at noon, in a blizzard. The goal is to collect all 8 recipes cards and the radio from the air control tower in Airfield.
At the very end, we are allowed to sleep 1 hour to save. That 1 hour can be subtracted from the save timer.
There are a couple of rules we to follow. No feats were allowed. No coffee, stims or any other foods that restored energy are allowed either. Only sleeping was to restore energy is permitted.

The routing changed a lot from the first attempts. We used to go to Bleak to get Dock Worker;s Pie as our seventh recipe. But we learned that it was more optimal to go for it first and hope you get a lucky aurora. We also figured out that every required rope climb could be done while fully exhausted.
I believe that a sub 3 day run is possible with perfect weather RNG. This run was on pace for a faster time, but I got a blizzard right at the very end that slowed me down.
