Stay safe when checking out buildings!
⚠️ Make sure you #staysafe during your assessments. If you’re requested to check out the building’s interior but you see something like this, don’t be afraid to say “No, thank you.” 👎
This client mentioned that the building had been abandoned for an unknown amount of time, so we kind of knew what we were about to find. Upon checking it from the half-opened front door (bottom half btw) we can see excessive #mould growth inside, some wall and ceiling sections missing or caved in, possible access to vermin and other critters, and of course possible exposure to #hazardousmaterials or #biological #hazards 🦠
Think also that since the materials have been exposed to a lot of moisture and weather damage, the ceiling or floors are not what they used to be and all it may take is your weight for something to get loose and for you to go through the floor or for a ceiling section to fall on you 🏡
Never access a building like this without proper certainty that it is SAFE to enter and check out inside. Your life and health are a lot more important than completing a simple check! No matter if you think it will be a “quick” in and out… ☠️
