Always be ready to wear your PPE
The client requested a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA). The home had been unoccupied for several years and was in relatively poor condition. It’s important that you carry with you PPE for these types of situations (such as Tyvek suit, respirator, boot covers and gloves). Sometimes you don’t know what you’ll walk into. This time, an animal (maybe a raccoon or small bear) seems to have entered the home at some point. Always be safe and remember to decontaminate your equipment following a site visit!
