Happy Vijayadasami to all of you and thank you for being with me on this interesting and unique journey this Navarathri!
I am delighted to be ending this series with a Mangala krithi in Shri Ragam by Shri Muthuswamy Dikshithar. This kriti is the last of the famous Abhayamba Vibhakthi kritis, which are a set of ten kritis on Goddess Abhayamba of Mayiladuthurai and consort of Lord Mayuranathaswami. Shri Dikshithar is supposed to have packed a lot of Tantrik and Devi Upasana Shakti in these kritis and just listening to these kritis on a daily basis is supposed to bring positive energy in our households.
The interesting aspect about this kriti is that it is a Manipravala kriti, i.e. a kriti composed in multiple languages. Listeners will notice that parts of the Pallavi and Anupallavi are set in Tamil language, which is extremely rare to find in a Dikshithar composition, although his mother tongue was Tamil. This kriti contains words from Sanskrit, Tamil, and Telugu. Hence I thought it would be an apt way to end this pan-India tribute series.
The video of this song features the grand Golu from our apartment complex, setup by a group of very enterprising and energetic ladies from our vibrant community. I would like to take this opportunity to thank their awesome initiative and active contributions in spreading the festive joy to everyone in the community year after year. Kudos to them!

Humbly dedicating this entire set of 10 songs to the Lotus Feet of the Supreme Goddess and seek her blessings for the health, happiness, prosperity, and peace of all! I had loads of fun in curating this series for all of you. Hope you enjoyed listening to it as well. See you all soon with another interesting project!
