In this video I do a full breakdown as to why old Call of Duty Maps were so much better than the new ones. Games like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, World at War, Modern Warfare 2, and Black Ops 1 have a distinct style that makes them all various, unique, interesting and always a pleasure to play. Starting with MW3, map design began to get significantly worse and I even argue a game as good as Black Ops 2 had a very streamlined style of maps that would unfortunately carry on for decades and dumb the maps down. Black Ops 6 and Modern Warfare III are the worst maps I have played in this franchise, all being incredibly small and feeling like Nuketown Remasters. There are a lot of factors that go into making good FPS maps, and today I will explain them.

Map Design is Most Important- 00:00-02:12

What Made Old Maps So Good?- 02:12-08:43

Bad Map Type 1 (Small/Formulaic)- 08:43-13:50

Bad Map Type 2 (Giant/Flowless/Formless)- 13:50- 18:23

Uninteresting, Unoriginal- 18:23- 21:20
