In this video, I explain how Live Service games have consistently provided worse and less content for games. Before 2018, we used to pay around $50 for an entire package of DLC in games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Though the buy in was about the price of the stand alone game, I argue the price was worth it. We used to get so many maps, and far less remade maps. I miss the overall quality and how all the content made games like BF1, Bf4, BF3, BO2, BO1, BO3 etc. replayable for years. Games like BFV and BF2042, and likely BF6 don't even reach 20 maps, where as the games before them used to have over 30 by the end of DLC season. I've had enough of free DLC, and at this point I'm ready to throw money at developers for more and better content.
