You can't escape sorrows
Just as a doctor sometimes treats a person not only with some sweet vitamins, but also with bitter medicines, painful injections, and even with a surgical operation, causing pain to a person in order to save his life, so the Lord sometimes sends us bitter medicine and suffering in this life in order to perfect our souls. The Holy Fathers say: "From long-suffering comes perfection." And if we think to run away from sorrows somewhere - there will be sorrows in this form in this place - there will be in another form in another place. We must bend our will to the will of God, which is saving, all-perfect and comes from God's love for us.
