Donna Marie Simon has been in the field of Behavior Healthcare for over 15 years. She received her Masters in Social Work and her certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Join us as we define and discuss the concepts of Trauma Informed Care, from both a personal and professional perspective and how we can integrate Applied Behavior Analysis as treatment. We will explore how trauma may relate to everyday life, the lives of your family and/or people you serve and learn to identify some notable “red flag” behavior that may indicate the need for clinical assistance, or advanced support.
Perspectives of what designates trauma, “common” signs and symptoms, and next steps will be discussed. Explanation of the basic framework of Trauma Informed Care, and how that framework can fit into the science and treatment planning of applied behavior analysis.
