Blended Data in Looker Studio - Full Outer Join
We have our two tables: Google Ads data for April 14th and 15th, and the Facebook Ads data for April 12th, 13th, and 14th.
When we apply a Full Outer Join to these tables, all rows from both tables will be included in the result. Rows from the left table will be matched with corresponding rows from the right table based on the date field. If there's no match, Null values will be inserted.
So, in the resulting table, we'll have data for all dates from both Google Ads and Facebook Ads, with Null values where there's no match. And this is exactly the type of join we need to show the total expenses across both advertising platforms.
