Lightroom's Vibrance and Saturation sliders are two of the most-used color adjustments. In this tutorial, I'll show you what the difference is and how to use them. You'll learn the best ways to boost the colors and still look natural.
Both Vibrance and Saturation enhance colors and their intensity but in different and important ways. Vibrance is a saturation tool but it’s more subtle than using the saturation slider. Vibrance brings more life to subdued or muted colors without oversaturating or over-coloring every part of your image. Adjusting the saturation slider will increase or decrease the intensity of every color in your photo depending on if you slide it left or right. Often Vibrance will be your answer, and it’s a good starting point, but sometimes you’ll find the saturation slider works better or a little bit of both.
