My VW engine was smoking… from one of the mounting bolts.
It didn’t make sense — and it definitely didn’t feel right going into gear.
In this episode, I pull the engine and track down the real cause in the clutch system — and what led to the failure in the first place.
It turns out the issue wasn’t where it appeared — but after digging deeper, I was able to fix it and get the Karmann Ghia back up and running again.
Sometimes the symptom shows up in one place… but the real problem is somewhere else entirely.
