Stand out and become a Rockstar with Microsoft PowerPoint
PowerPoint has been around for a long time but like other software programs, it has features that some are unaware of. Here are four tips that could be game changers for your next presentation.
1. To get the full attention of those you’re presenting to, blacken your screen so your PPT is paused. If you’re presenting without a remote, you can hit the B key of your keyboard to get an all-black screen. Use it again to bring your presentation back.
2. Stay on track by inserting a time stamp in the lower left or right-hand corner of your slides. To find this feature, click INSERT along the top ribbon of your PowerPoint, then choose the DATE & TIME icon. Be sure to click the box for “Update automatically”.
3. Use the "G" key to skip ahead, without your audience knowing what they've missed.
4. Zoom/Magnify for strong effect.
