MACRO in MOTION - An extreme macro video (4k)
Most of the macro shooters out there are focusing on macro photography.
I will attempt to do some extreme macro videos, which are a challenge from many perspectives.
Using macro lenses is coming with focusing challenges, due to a very narrow depth of field. in order to have a reasonable visual attractive video, one needs the depth of field as large as possible.
At magnifications factors above 1:1 , any slight vibration is very visible and most of the time distracting, which makes extreme macro video difficult.
Most of the things you see here are probably below 2-5 mm in size. I have used magnifications 1x, 2.5x and 5x.
I will attempt to break the 5x barrier later...perhaps
for anyone passionate about macro, at this scale, insects become interesting, beautiful, no longer scary or disgusting. This includes the first one in this video which is the common kitchen cockroach...
