Publication Facts Label: Interview with Laura Moorhead
The Public Knowledge Project's Journal Integrity Initiative (JII) is a Public Knowledge Project (PKP) development intended to provide an effective summary of a research article's adherence to scholarly standards.
Part of the JII is the Publication Facts Label (PFL), which brings together information about a research article, and the journal it appears in, to help researchers, and the public, assess information in one place.
The PFL is an information modal (or pop-up) that readers can use to learn about the article's peer-reviewers and author statements (i.e., competing interests, data availability, external funding), as well as the journal's article acceptance rate, days to publication, indexing, and editorial board.
This video is a recording of an interview with JII project partner Laura Moorhead, Professor at San Francisco State University, who has two decades of journalism experience, and a special interest in improving media and information literacy. Laura gives a breakdown of the project from her perspective.
