Spring is here! Luckily for you, that means that all of the sports teams are looking for someone who can customize their uniforms and practice gear. Take advantage of this market and expand on what you already have to offer. Check out our tips on what you can offer to bring in more jobs this season using your vinyl cutter and heat press.
1 Practice jerseys or tees are something that every team would be more than happy to purchase from you. Performance garments and tri-blend raglans as an easy upgrade. Remember, the more comfortable a shirt is, the more likely someone is to want to wear it. The same goes for a design. Make your designs different from your competitors and you’ll be more likely to close the sale. 2 Anything that they could possibly have customized is a starting point. Have pre-made samples of the items that the players can purchase. Water bottles, equipment bags, hats and headbands, decals for their equipment, shoes, helmets, and whatever else you can think of! Visual is key, let them see the samples and they will want their own. Remember, they want more than practice jerseys. Funny sports saying and mascots will also sell well. 3 Fan wear is an easy sale for you. The families and friends of the players wouldn’t hesitate to spend a few bucks on can coolers, billboard shirts, hats, bags, or car decals to show their team pride! Get creative. Offer “stock” options with an upgrade to custom versions with names and numbers. Funny quotes, mom shirts, etc are perfect for this area. Customizing apparel for a softball team? 4 Ask to set up a booth/stand at some of the games! This is an ideal opportunity to sell all of that fan wear.
