Any parent can be a thoughtful listener. The benefits are many. Yelling, lecturing, and interrupting are unnecessary. Children learn to listen because their parents model it. Conversations flow. Kids seek closeness with their parents, ask for advice, and take on their parents’ values. Everybody wins.
