You can create Gmail shortcut inbox on your desktop.
1. Go to gmail.com on your chrome
2. Copy the URL link
3. Go to your desktop
4. Right click and click "new" shortcut
5. Paste the URL and click next
6. Rename the short cut to Gmail Inbox shortcut and click finish
7. Change the icon by downloading the icon from the link below
