The Terminator was a low-budget sci-fi action horror masterpiece, but for reasons ranging from exploring the future war in depth to a CGI Arnold Schwarzenegger, its sequels Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator Salvation, Terminator Genisys, and Terminator: Dark Fate were all WAY too expensive, leading to the near death of the franchise.

Even bringing James Cameron back to produce Dark Fate, with Deadpool director Tim Miller at the helm, wasn't enough to save it.

(In fact, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles may have been on the right track taking things back to basics with a more limited budget.)

In this video, we're going to talk about what a $70 million Terminator movie would look like, how it could still deliver the visual effects and action we expect from the series, and how it could keep the franchise alive.
