The Saturday Unification Session focused on science, technology, and space programs in Africa, with presentations by Brother Kwame and Brother Ifo on digital sovereignty, data colonialism, and the need for African control over technological infrastructure. The presenters discussed how Africa's internet traffic routes through European servers, the importance of preserving African knowledge systems, and the need for continental space programs. The session included a question-and-answer segment where participants discussed the preservation of African knowledge, digital security concerns, and the challenges of implementing African-centered curricula in educational institutions. Sister Portia shared her experience attending a UN conference on People of African Descent, highlighting ongoing issues with mental enslavement and the need for new systems beyond existing racial capitalist structures.
