🎙AVoIPoE regulars will know that we’re all about smashing up silos and closed ecosystems, so we’re delighted that Crestron has made the bold move to make its legendary AV control capabilities accessible to other Microsoft Teams Rooms Vendors. As Director of Technical Marketing and prolific content creator, Neil Fluester put it so succinctly when we caught up at the United Communication Expo (UCX) in London, “Noone wants a controller for Teams and then a controller for the rest of the room.” Very true!

🎙Neil also touched on Crestron’s multi-camera system, which is now Teams and Zoom certified (and PoE powered!), plus other invaluable pieces of meeting room kit like the wireless Crestron Flex Pods for ensuring that the whole room can hear what’s going on, plus the DM Essentials content distribution line which could sound the death knell for the fumbling around with chargers and HDMI cables that marks the typical prelude to a boardroom presentation.

Welcome to AVoIPoE Design Thinking – a YouTube channel dedicated to audio visual products and systems combining AV over IP (AVoIP) and Power over Ethernet (PoE). ⚡

What is AVoIPoE Design Thinking?

Audio Visual over Ethernet + Power over Ethernet = AVoIPoE.

🎙 AVoIPoE is an agile new approach to networked AV system integration being adopted in broadcast, live performance, corporate AV, conferencing, houses of worship, esports, immersive installations and beyond. AVoIPoE describes the confluence of Audio and Video over Internet Protocol technology with Power over Ethernet. In an AVoIPoE system, standard Ethernet cables carry audio, video, control, data, and power. AVoIPoE enables the creation of networked AV / IT systems that can be powered, controlled, monitored, and managed over a network. AVoIPoE solutions are quicker and more cost effective to install and the lower power consumption of modern PoE devices contributes reduces electricity costs / carbon footprint.
