Day 3 continues down Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom as we take in one of the park’s most iconic daytime spectaculars: Festival of Fantasy Parade. 🎭✨
This long-standing afternoon parade blends classic characters, soaring floats, and high-energy choreography into a moving celebration of Disney storytelling.
Grand Marshals
The parade opens with the honored Grand Marshals—lucky guests selected by Disney (often celebrating milestones or special moments). Riding at the front, they lead the procession in true VIP fashion, waving to cheering crowds as the music swells.
The Grand Float
The first major float is the breathtaking Grand Float.
At the front stand Belle and Beast, elevated in regal fashion. In the center, Cinderella and Prince Charming shine in royal elegance. At the rear, Anna, Elsa, and Olaf appear on one side, while Tiana and Prince Naveen rotate gracefully on the other. It’s layered, dynamic, and visually stunning from every angle.
Tangled Float
Next comes the lively Tangled float, featuring Rapunzel set before a towering Viking ship. Three massive swinging pendulums move overhead, with Maximus and Flynn Rider (Eugene) in the center pendulum, flanked by feirce Vikings.
The Little Mermaid Float
Ariel sits atop a giant seashell as Flounder swims above and Sebastian “conducts” the music from the front. The colors are vibrant, aquatic, and full of under-the-sea movement.
Peter Pan & Friends
Dancing along the route are Wendy Darling, her brothers John and Michael, and the Lost Boys. Then comes the Peter Pan float—Peter Pan stands high atop a pirate ship. Beneath a sweeping rainbow, Captain Hook lurks below, while Tinker Bell sparkles at the rear. Mr. Smee trails behind on foot, interacting with the crowd.
Sleeping Beauty & Maleficent
Following are the three good fairies—Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather—accompanied by Prince Phillip. Then comes one of the parade’s most dramatic moments: Maleficent in towering dragon form, breathing real fire as she moves down the route.
Snow White & Classic Characters
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs dance joyfully behind. Alongside them appear Jiminy Cricket, Mad Hatter, Alice, and Pinocchio, adding whimsical charm.
Mickey & Friends Finale
The parade concludes with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse aboard a colorful hot air balloon float. Walking behind them are Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Goofy, sending the celebration off in high spirits.
The Festival of Fantasy Parade has delighted millions of guests over the years. While elements have evolved and updated, the heart of the parade remains the same—bold imagination, intricate float design, beloved characters, and that unmistakable Disney storytelling that keeps fans lining Main Street year after year.
