I've been using the Raspberry Pi as a server for 5 years now, and over the years, only one problem has persisted: disk corruption.
My solution to this problem was to buy an SSD and connect it directly to the Raspberry Pi via USB; according to many users on Reddit, SSD storage allows you to overcome the physical limitations imposed by micro SD cards.
What's not mentioned, however, is that even an SSD is susceptible to corruption if connected incorrectly to a system. If we use a USB-SATA adapter, we're unwittingly shifting the point of failure directly to the USB protocol, which isn't suited to continuous data flows.
