I formatted Fedora three times before finding the right setup. Because the default "install" button leads to a machine you can't really manage in production: useless snapshots, broken rollbacks, and "full disk encryption" that isn't effective.
In this video, we install an enterprise-level Fedora on the Dell Pro Max, inspired by the openSUSE standard—the setup I use at work as a software engineer.
🎯 What we'll see:
✅ Professional partition layout (/boot/efi, /boot, encrypted root)
✅ LUKS2—industry-standard encryption
✅ BTRFS subvolumes designed for snapshots and atomic rollbacks
✅ The NVMe RAID trap in the BIOS that blocks installation
✅ Dual-boot with Windows while maintaining the existing EFI
📺 This is the first episode of the Fedora from zero to hero series. Upcoming videos include: BTRFS management and snapshots with Snapper, atomic rollbacks, optimization, Podman, and everything you need to transform Fedora into a truly high-performance enterprise workstation.
