This is a major step forward in the fight against s3xual exploitation and online grooming.
Along with my friend Robert Blomberg (centre right), we met Principal Olga Vascan (centre left) of the Cosnita Lyceum, and local Mayor Gafeli Alexei (right).
During our meeting we discussed how, with your support, we are going to introduce IT courses into this schools curriculum, investing in the future of some of the poorest children in Europe.
What makes this even more exciting is, for the first time, Cyber Safeguarding will be taught and will help to start protecting young people from s3xual exploitation.
This paves the way to have online awareness programmes introduced into the national curriculum, helping to educate vulnerable children right across the country of Moldova.
Representing Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance, we will be teaching children how to spot the signs of internet-grooming.
In a country where human-trafficking is out of control, this will help to save lives.
This is the beginning of a genuinely exciting journey and we look forward to partnering with IT providers right across the world, in order to shape how IT is taught within our schools.
Teaching children to programme is one thing, teaching them to protect themselves is another, and the two MUST co-exist.
I'd be particularly interested in speaking to organisations who believe, like us, that children should be protected from online predators.
